Joint Collage of the International Brigades' Flag
The flag of the Austrian battalion of the international Brigades is a unique and detailed handicraft piece. After the victory of fascism 1939 it had to be passed on secretly. Going through many hands of engaged anti-fascists, it finally reached Vienna in 1945. Commemorating the 80th anniversary of the International Brigades 2016 the flag is recreated again as a joint collage, being passed on from person to person.
Yesterday it was in our house.
in December 2016 the flag will be presented in an exhibition.
